There's nothing like an exhilarating jeep ride and long hike through the Judean Desert to clean up a guy's head. Very small classes allow for individual instruction at each student's level. Outside of the classroom, meetings with Maale's "hip" teachers at cafes allows students to open up and make meaningful attachments with an adult who can help guide them on their way out of the darkness to become people who have lots to give to others and to mainstream Israeli society. When summertime comes, students want to stay at Maale and participate in its innovative summer programs, designed to keep the kids off the streets. Maale graduates are currently a source of pride for all who know the difficult road to success that these special youths have chosen.
